Threaded stainless flanges

Some threaded flanges may also have a raised face or a ring groove to accommodate a raised face gasket for improved sealing performance.

  5. Assembly: To assemble a threaded flange joint, the threaded flange is screwed onto the pipe’s external threaded end using pipe thread sealant or thread tape to ensure a leak-tight seal. Once the flange is properly tightened, it can be bolted to the mating flange or equipment using standard flange bolts.

  6. Sizes and Ratings: Threaded stainless flanges are available in a wide range of sizes and pressure ratings to suit various piping system requirements. They can range from small diameters for residential applications to large diameters for industrial processes. Pressure ratings typically conform to standards such as ANSI/ASME B16.5 or EN 1092-1 and are expressed in classes or pressure-temperature ratings.

  7. Applications: Threaded stainless flanges are commonly used in piping systems where easy installation, disassembly, and maintenance are required. They are often found in applications such as plumbing, water supply, HVAC systems, and small-scale industrial processes. Threaded flanges are particularly useful in situations where welding is impractical or not allowed, such as in certain hazardous environments or where the piping system needs to be easily modified or expanded.

When selecting threaded stainless flanges for a piping system, it’s important to consider factors such as the application requirements, pressure and temperature conditions, material compatibility, and applicable standards to ensure proper performance and reliability.
